Corporate Video Production

We take pride in providing a fresh approach to corporate video production in the Bay Area. From corporate b-roll for TV and cable news broadcast to internal videos for training and fundraising we provide corporate clients with broadcast quality High Definition and Standard Definition video production services.

Late last year we received a call on Saturday afternoon from Michael Young, VP of Access Communications, asking if we were available for a quick turn-around shoot. He explained that one of his clients, Solyndra, a large solar start-up, needed a high-quality promotional video highlighting their Freemont fabrication facilities. Using the promotional for an important meeting in New York, they needed the video produced, shot and delivered in three days. This company had never trusted a video crew to shoot in any of their state of the art clean-room fabrication facilities, Corduroy Media would be the first.

We brought in a small crew that Monday consisting of, Carl Brown, Lynton Vandersteen, and Ben Kruer. After a short meeting with the production and facilities team we got to work. With a broadcast 16:9 camera and a forty-foot camera crane we were able to shoot three of the fabrication facilities; exterior shots, and the roof mounted solar array in thirteen hours. Lighting with a 2k, daylight balanced Arri and using two 1k Arris with colored gels we developed a beautiful aesthetic in this highly mechanized environment.

The next day, we began post-production. After editing all day and mixing in an original music track, produced by Subjunctive Sound, we posted the video to our FTP for Solyndra's review. They were very excited about the finished video and with a few tweaks we had a final cut. Wednesday morning the VP of Global Operations, Ben Bierman, was flying out of SFO with his management team. We meet him on the curb and handed him the master DVD of the project.

Solyndra was so pleased with that initial project that we were hired for an additional shoot. These two production days provided the company with content for several unique videos including a trade show promotional, a rooftop installation video, a b-roll package for national broadcast, a website promotional, and the original fabrication fundraising video with voice over. This giant start-up was set to launch publicly and needed several unique projects delivered in just a couple of weeks.
