As a public middle school teacher in Oakland, Gehry helps youth to develop media skills and runs an after school youth cooking/gardening program. He has helped to produce a series of short pieces with Corduroy for MTV's Emmy Award winning Choose or Lose Campaign. He has successfully worked with the City of Oakland, Alameda County, and the EastBay Community Foundation to win grants totaling $35,000 to fund his educational work in the school. He is currently working towards a Masters of Public Health.
