Corduroy Media, video production company in San Francisco, worked with PG&E to profile the complex work that goes on at their state of the art gas control center in San Ramon, CA. PG&E needed a short documentary film that told the story of the ecosystem that made turning on hot water in the morning seamless. We worked with PG&E in pre-production to simplify the messaging so that each persons role in the system had the most impact.
Our San Francisco based Director of Photography and Director are always thinking of dynamic ways to approach photography, and decided that using a lot of fast paced tracking shots would help illustrate the connection between workers in the field and workers in gas control. We ended up using our in-house ronin, which allows for smooth, dynamic shots for most of the production.
