Studio Manager & Associate Producer
Hailing from the lush forests of the pacific northwest, Mariana is a creative spark that brings rays of sunshine everywhere she goes. Lucky for the team at Corduroy, last year she decided to park those rays, along with her 1988 RV here at Corduroy Media.
She got her start working in film production in high school through a non-profit called Reel Grrls and later Punch Drunk Productions. With PDP she had the opportunity to shoot everyone from Hall and Oates to Kendrick Lamar, eventually becoming their production coordinator.
In 2016, she received her Degree in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations from Evergreen State College, publishing her thesis on neoliberalism and the origins of extremism.
Before finding her home at Corduroy Media she freelanced on commercial, documentary and feature sets alike, making her mark as the “jill of all trades.” Recently, she had the pleasure of seeing two of her feature projects, “Blindspotting” and “Sorry to Bother You” on the big screen at Sundance 2018.
Now at Corduroy Media Mariana gets to grow, stretch and strengthen her skills while soaking up the knowledge of her colleagues. She is Associate Producer, Studio Manager, in-house Art Department and office goofball. She spends her days pretending to know how to surf and aspiring to be CoCo’s favorite minion.
