In 2015, Corduroy Media owner and Executive Producer, Carl Brown purchased a 10,000sq ft. warehouse with his partner Pilar Zuniga down the street from his home in Oakland, Ca. As a long time resident, he wanted to base his Creative Agency in Oakland, while creating stability in a volatile rent mark for the company, he wanted to participate in and support Oakland’s vibrant creative community. With 5,000sq ft remodeled as the Corduroy Media production offices, he had plenty of room to create the first and only drive in Oakland Sound Stage. Mama Dog Studios is the perfect choice for productions of all sizes - especially if pristine sound capture and privacy are the priority. This 5,000sq ft. studio, with private gated parking, was Built for Sound from the ground up and has been designed to enhance the overall experience for client, crew and creatives.
